Free aptitude test

Find out where your child stands, and what they are good at

The test asks your child about their interests, how they work things out and how they study, then checks the subjects for their class. You get a report in plain words on your WhatsApp and your email.

What the test is

What the test asks your child

The test has four parts and your child answers them on your phone. Nothing on the screen is timed, there are no marks, and your child never sees a score.

It takes 20 to 25 minutes. You can stop in the middle and continue later from where your child left off.

  • Questions about what your child likes doing
  • Questions on numbers, words, reasoning and shapes
  • Questions about how your child studies at home
  • A check of the subjects your child studies in their class

Step by step

How it works

  • 01Create your account

Sign up with your name, your email address and your WhatsApp number. The account is yours, not your child's.

  • 02Add your child

Type your child's first name, the class and the board. We do not ask for your child's school, photograph or date of birth.

  • 03Hand the phone to your child

Your child answers the questions on your phone. Nothing on the screen is timed and there is no score to see.

  • 04The test follows the answers

When an answer is wrong, the next question goes back to the topic it builds on. That is how the report shows where the gap starts.

  • 05The report comes to you

When the test ends, the report goes to your WhatsApp and your email, and it stays in your account. A counsellor messages you within one working day.

About the report

What the report tells you

  • The topics your child is secure in, subject by subject.
  • The topics where your child needs help, and which class each one is from.
  • What your child is interested in.
  • How your child studies at home, and what would help.
  • For Classes 9 to 12, the streams and the kinds of work worth talking about.

What we never do

  • No marks and no score.
  • No label on your child.
  • No comparison with other children.
  • We ask only for your child's first name. It is used in the report and in the counselling session, and deleted with your account.
  • No school, no photograph and no date of birth.
  • The report is indicative. It is where the counselling session starts, not a verdict on your child.

Questions parents ask

Questions about the test

Read all the questions
What is in the free aptitude test?

It has four parts. The first asks what your child is interested in. The second asks questions on numbers, words, reasoning and shapes. The third asks how your child studies at home. The last part checks the subjects your child studies this year. The test is free and there is nothing to pay at any point.

How long does the aptitude test take?

About 20 to 25 minutes. Your child answers on your phone and nothing on the screen is timed. You can stop in the middle and continue later from where your child left off.

Who answers the questions in the test?

Your child does. You make the account, add your child and start the test, then hand the phone over. For Classes 3 to 5 there are eight questions about study habits at the start that you answer yourself, and the screen tells you when to pass the phone to your child.

What happens to the answers my child gives in the test?

They are stored on our own server and read by the counsellor who talks to you. They are kept with your child's first name and nothing else that identifies your child. We do not sell them and we do not share them with anyone. You can delete your account and everything in it from your account settings.

Is the test a diagnosis?

No. It is not a medical test, a psychological assessment or an IQ test, and it does not label your child. It shows what your child is interested in, what they find easy, and which topics need work, so the counselling session starts from something real.

Can my child take the test again?

Yes, after 90 days. We keep that gap so the second report means something. If you need it sooner, message us and a counsellor can allow it from our side.
